Becoming one with your training
What does this title mean? Well, it means to stop training with music when you/i am outside? Why, because I believe that doing so takes away the sensors needed to become one with what you are trying to accomplish. I believe music takes away the feel needed to be able to pay attention to what your body is doing and how it's adapting to all aspects of the session. Depending on what songs comes on, your pace can increase or decrease without knowing. Natural running or cycling allows you to be one with the session and connect with your body so you can sense when things are going right or wrong. Will I have my phone on certain sessions? Of course I will for safety. Oh, I will also stop clock watching because I want to learn how to get in the zone and not worry how fast or slow I'm going and get back to feeling the pace, then check data once the session is over. Let's see what that brings.:)

Peace
Loving the getting back to the love of training and not the complete mindless structure. Great things await me.:)

Training and life
Well, so far it's going pretty good. I'm pretty consistent with my training but I'm not going about it new school....or maybe not even old school. For some reason I believe that people have started putting too much thought into training because of all the info out there. I also believe that power isn't all it's cracked up to be. I bet if everybody knew the pros went back to HR because it was more effective they would all switch back and save a bunch of money. Even still, for the age grouper I don't think you need it. I think it's just cool to have and if you truly train with HR you can still be on top and kicking butt. That's my thought anyway. Well, I can tell I'm getting stronger, faster and doing it will less effort and wear and tear on my body. Now I just have to drop to my race weight and stay there for rest of my life.:)
So I workout when I can. It's either when Adiya is sleeping, eating or taking a bath. Strength work happens when she's taking a bath or sleep. All others take place when she's sleeping. There's no way I will be doing an Ironman in the next 10 years. I just can't see putting in that much time for something like that. Plus, it's not just actually training, but also the mental aspect that you need to put towards plans, figuring out when to get stuff in and all. It's just not worth it to me.

Marathon and 2015 training, racing, life
Well I have decided to not to the marathon this year. Even though the training has been going pretty well, the thought process is not pleasant. Not wanting to have another repeat of last years race, I have been trying my best to thick to the plan while figuring out when to get in my training. Sometimes I can get it in in the morning and other times it's at night when Nicole is putting Adiya to bed. The problem is that I have to start my run when I plan to otherwise the window will/would close. There is where my problems arose. I was getting frustrated when having that on my mind to the point it started to creep in when I was spending time with the family. So I finally decided to let it go. Honestly I never really felt the need to do a marathon but got caught up....as so many do...with all the talk about doing one. Then after my disaster I felt the need to get revenge....even though I didn't really want to. I think now my focus is just on doing sprints which I love doing and staying as fit and healthy as possible. I also have started a journey that is a bit outside the box so the end of the season will be telling and my hope is to start a small revolution that will get people enjoying the process and not falling for the hype of what it takes to be good at running and triathlons.:)
